We are delighted to announce a major milestone for our club, marking a great leap forward in our commitment to promoting intergenerational and gender-balanced participation in nautical sports. Through our participation in the Erasmus+CROSSING project program, where NOL is a partner, we acquired two state-of-the-art coastal rowing boats.

The CROSSINGproject promotes participation and environmental sustainability, aligning seamlessly with our vision for the future. We believe that by placing nautical clubs at the forefront of the green coastal development debate, we are contributing to a healthier and fairer society.

These coastal rowing boats symbolize our dedication to providing opportunities for everyone, regardless of age or gender, to participate in our activities and enjoy the beauty of the sea. We are excited about the positive impact these vessels will have on our club and on Lemnos society in general.

NOL thanks Mrs. Katerina Zourou, CEO of the Web2Learn company, for drafting the European proposal CROSSSING, pro bono in March 2023 which was approved for funding and is now being implemented.

CROSSING (Coastal rowing for a green, intergenerational and gender-balanced future) is 12 months long  project (November 2023-November 2024) and is financed by the European program Erasmus+ Sports, action Not-for-profit European sport events. See more here https://project-crossing-eu.weebly.com
