Nautical Club of Limnos

Nautical Club of Limnos (N.O.L.) established in 1989. It mainly targets to the development and dissemination of nautical sports such as classical and costal rowing, sailing swimming and underwater fishing. NOL has the following five departments:

  • Rowing department
  • Costal Rowing department
  • Kayak department
  • Sailing department
  • Swimming department
  • Underwater department

NOL is a well-known and prestigious nautical club in Greece. Its main activity focuses on classical and costal rowing. Many of its athletes had participated in Balkan, European and World Rowing Championships with many distinctions. Panagiotis Magdanis is NOL’s  most prominent athlete, with great achievements in his energetic. He gained the golden Medal in World Rowing Championships for 2013 in U23 double skiff (2x). He also participated in London’s and Rio’s Olympic Games, achieving the 8th position in Light Men’s double skiff (2x) and the 6th position in Men’s quadruple skiff (4x) respectively.

NOL is active in transnational cooperation projects and is looking forward to expanding its European and international activities. Since January 2023 NOL is patterner of the European Erasmus+ project CoWay with another 3 partners:

  • Rowing Club Adriatico Fano, Italy
  • Veslaški klub ARGO IZOLA, Slovenia
  • Zagreb Rowing Federation – Croatia

CoWay targets gender equality thought the development of Costal Rowing. Coastal Rowing is a totally new sport which gives the opportunity of gender-mixed crews.
