The Nautical Club of Lemnos (NOL) participated in the Kick-off transnational meeting of the European project, Sporocean. This meeting, hosted in La Coruna, Spain, facilitated extensive discussions among program partners. The agenda covered both organizational aspects related to program activities and technical matters aimed at enhancing expertise, thereby fortifying NOL’s standing in national classic rowing and coastal rowing.
During the meeting, the partners presented comprehensive plans, including the management, financial, and communication plans, as well as the dissemination and quality control and assurance plans.
Another critical aspect discussed during the meeting was internal communication. NOL, along with other partners, actively coordinated and managed the network of collaborators. This included verifying, controlling, and monitoring results, ensuring a meticulous approach to overseeing the project’s evolution from development and execution to dissemination.
NOL’s involvement in the Sporocean project not only strengthens its position in the domestic and international nautical sport but also positions Lemnos as a significant hub for rowing activities in Greece and the Balkans. Represented by Konstantinos Dikranis and Chrysa Berberi, coaches and technical issue leads, NOL continues to be at the forefront of introducing and developing coastal rowing on the island of Lemnos.
